China, the United States, and Japan continue to be the three largest export markets for Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry, and fishery products in the first seven months of 2023.

In the first 7 months of 2023, the total export turnover of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products is estimated at 29.13 billion USD, down 9.1%. In which, the export value of aquatic products reached 4.95 billion USD, down 25.4%; forest products 7.79 billion USD, down 25.5%; production input reached 1.13 billion USD, down 25.1%.

But the group of agricultural products reached nearly 14.99 billion USD, up 13.2%, because the export value of vegetables and fruits reached 3.23 billion USD, up 68.1%; rice reached 2.58 billion USD, up 29.6%; cashew nuts reached 1.95 billion USD, up 9.8%; coffee reached USD 2.76 billion, up 6%; livestock products reached 276 million USD, up 27.4%. Particularly, the export price of rice reached 534 USD/ton, up 9.2%; the export coffee price reached 2,540 USD/ton, up 12.8%.

 

 

Regarding export markets, China, the United States, and Japan continue to be the three largest export markets for Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry, and fishery products. In which, the export value of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products to the Chinese market accounted for 21.9%, up 12.5% over the same period last year; The United States accounted for 20.4%, down 29.3% and Japan accounted for 7.6%, down 6.9% over the same period last year.

In the domestic market, in July, the price of summer-autumn rice in the Mekong Delta region increased due to active transactions with good demand and purchasing power. Specifically, IR50404 rice price to 6,500 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice to 6,800 VND/kg, Dai fragrant rice to 6,950 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices increased due to concerns about short-term supply shortages and low coffee inventory reports. Accordingly, the price of coffee beans in the Central Highlands provinces is currently at 66,200 – 66,700 VND/kg, an increase of 2,000 – 2,200 VND/kg compared to June 2023.

The price of 20 large black tiger shrimp/kg is 187,000 VND/kg, and 30 shrimp/kg is 150,000 VND/kg. Live hog prices in the North increased by 3,000 VND/kg, ranging from 62,000 to 64,000 VND/kg; In the Central and Southern regions, prices are stable, ranging from 59,000 to 62,000 VND/kg.

Fruit prices in some southern provinces tend to decrease sharply due to the abundant supply of the right harvest such as dragon fruit, rambutan, jackfruit, and seedless lemon.
